  • College Boreal

Collège Boréal / L'Université de Hearst

Collège Boréal / L'Université de Hearst was the once of the first large scale long term projects we’ve done. This project pushed the limits both physically and virtually. Everything from the striking colour scheme to the interior design pushed the community status quo. I love it! Numerous variants were developed including a two, three and four storey wing for the Université de Hearst. Multiple canopy design concepts were explored and tested. Several ambient occlusion (black and white) interior design massing studies were developed for the main entrance atrium and staircase detailing. Detailed landscaping and true 3d high resolution foliage were incorporated into renderings. Overall, this was a very enjoyable project.

  • Elementary School Mattawa

    École Catholique Sainte-Anne Élémentaire

The École Catholique Sainte-Anne Élémentaire pushes the boundaries of 3d architectural software and hardware capabilities. This multi-year institutional project encompassed every technique used in 3d architectural rendering. From image compositing, wireframes, ambient occlusion to photo-realistic renderings and animations. In a nutshell, we deployed all of our tricks and techniques we’ve learned in over 15 years on this project. 3d renderings were used to validate canopy entrance designs, grading, use of space and existing site interfacing.

The St. Anne Catholic Elementary School is the only French-language sector of downtown Mattawa. in a place characterized by respect, friendship and harmony, everything is implemented to allow the development of children. École Sainte-Anne has earned an enviable reputation in French, mathematics, visual arts, physical education, pastoral and multiculturalism through various community partnerships.

  • École Élémentaire Catholique Saint-Joseph

The École Élémentaire Catholique Saint-Joseph production began soon after Collège Boréal was nearing completion. Lessons learned from Collège Boréal were applied to École Saint-Joseph to increase efficiency. New hardware and software permitted even greater flexibility and capabilities. High resolution vehicles and people were added to exterior renderings which were not capable due to memory limitations in previous productions. Sun studies were utilized to confirm south and west window shading assembly effectiveness (which they did). 3d interior aerial floor plans were created to showcase the internal overall flow patterns.
